Mike Moliterno has been in Hospitality for over 35 years, starting at the Front Desk and holding positions of Director of Sales and General Manager. Mike has been at the Holiday Inn Boardman since 2005. It has been a perfect match of the hotel’s service legacy & Mike’s personal passion to deliver more & better service than expected.
Food and Beverage Director
John Fabian has worked at the Holiday Inn Boardman since 1992. He started as a dishwasher before moving into Line Cooking, Sous Chef & Banquet Chef (13 years). He has been Food & Beverage Manager since January 2011. Obviously an example of hard work paying off. John’s influence is everywhere in our Food & Beverage Department.
Mary Lou Grover
Mary Lou Grover has been Executive Housekeeper at the Holiday Inn Boardman for over 25 years. Overall, she has been in Hotel Housekeeping for over 40 years. In the Fall of 2006, she was Executive Housekeeper of the year for IHG Hotels. She is generally considered one of the best Executive Housekeepers in the country.
Don Young has been Executive Chef of the Holiday Inn Boardman for over 25 years. His longevity & skill have been a key component to the success of the Food & Beverage Department in general, but especially to TJ’s Restaurant where he has helped mold it into a hotel restaurant that has a great local following.
Scott Bartlett is a Pennsylvania Culinary School graduate. He started with us in 1999 as a Line Cook, but has been our Sous Chef for many years. He is part of our leadership team in TJ’s Restaurant and in our Banquet Department. He is our “go to” guy on gluten intolerance & food allergy issues.
Director of Sales of Marketing
KayLou brings with her over 23 years of local hotel experience, with the majority of that time being spent with the IHG brand as a Director of Sales, General Manager and Revenue Manager.
Catering Sales Manager
Shelly has a lifetime of experience in food and beverage including once owning her own family restaurant. She brings a history and knowledge of events along with many years of customer service to the Holiday Inn Boardman. Shelly is our expert at weddings and social events!
Darolyn is a native of Maine. She has a diverse background including Food & Beverage Management, Human Resources & Retail Management. She joined the Holiday Inn Boardman in the fall of 2006 in Accounting. She quickly became very knowledgeable in all aspects of hotel accounting & serves as the Property Controller & Human Resource Generalist.
Don started at the Holiday Inn as a maintenance staff person in the fall of 2009. He was promoted to Head Engineer approximately one year after. Don is extremely creative & resourceful. Besides being well rounded in the traditional maintenance fields of electric, plumbing, carpentry & HVAC; he is also extremely knowledgeable in computers & electronics.
Lisa Rovnak has been at the Holiday Inn Boardman since 2001 working at many levels throughout the Banquet Department. Her commitment to customer service & overall satisfaction has been key to our success in the Banquet Department. Lisa has been our Banquet Manager since 2012.
Sherri has a strong background in the Hospitality Industry, with the beginning of her career being in the Food & Beverage aspect. However she has worked on the hotel side since coming to the Holiday Inn Boardman. She started as Night Auditor in March of 2005 and has been the hotel’s Front Office Manager since May of 2008. She has attended numerous hotel training classes and is certified in Revenue Management.
Corporate Sales Manager
Tom was raised and went to school right here in Boardman Ohio. He started working for the Holiday Inn Boardman doing room service and serving in TJ’s Restaurant and Lounge while attending Youngstown State University. After Graduation Tom went on to gain years of experience in sales priding himself on building long term relationships and vowing to always under promise and over deliver! In 2017 he returned to The Holiday Inn Sales Office where his journey began bringing things full circle for him.
Group Rooms Sales Manager
Kelly’s career in the hospitality field started 9 years ago as a server. With an YSU degree in hospitality Kelly interned in hotels and then continued furthering her experience in every aspect of the field including banquets, hotels and restaurants. Kelly is our golf group and social room’s guru!
